Modern children’s nutrition should be based on the latest gastronomic knowledge, not outdated recipes. Excessive consumption of salt, instant bases, flavor enhancers, and milk as a significant allergen, as well as the serving of monotonous side dishes, not only fails to meet the requirements of modern, healthier nutrition, but also discourages children from visiting the school cafeteria. Pupils, especially those in higher grades, then more often “run away” to unhealthy fast food options or skip meals. All of this has a negative impact not only on the healthy physical development of children, but also on their comfort and overall well-being. Menus should be based on children’s nutritional needs, should appeal to diners, introduce new, healthier side dishes, respect the seasonality of food, and include different types of meat.
Our goal is to contribute to good eating habits in children, introduce new recipes, guide children toward healthy eating, promote a conscious approach to food, and reduce waste.
